We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of:

Trucking Supervisor

Summary: Supervises, manages, and coordinates fleet of drivers and vehicles engaged in loading and transporting materials and construction machinery. Schedules drivers and assigns routes to maximize productivity insuring effective use of resources. Provides input into bids and sales regarding truck usage and time. Required to communicate with drivers, project managers, crew leaders, external haulers, and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily tasks include allocating driver and vehicle assignments.
• Monitoring employee performance.
• Ensures compliance with safety standards, federal, state, and local regulations
• Personnel management, including hiring and disciplinary recommendations.
• Manages fleet GPS tracking system, including training, trouble shooting, and reporting.
• Training drivers.
• Coordination with external haulers.
• Coordinate fleet maintenance requirements
• Support all operations of a vertically integrated construction company.
• Conduct operations within budget constraints insuring profitability.
• Develop a cohesive team.
• Reporting to management truck utilization, opportunities, challenges, and successes.
• Provide support all operations of a vertically integrated construction company.
• Plan transportation routes by consulting available maps to ensure compliance with limits, laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training.
• Understanding of DOT and Federal Motor Carrier regulations preferred
• Class A CDL preferred
• Experience in heavy highway construction and paving operations preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history required
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge required.
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing job duties the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, couch, and crawl.
