ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

Ennoble First is hiring a ServiceNow Subject Matter Expert responsible for identifying and proposing ServiceNow Solutions for business development, including helping plan, implement and administer all aspects of the new ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) platform.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience planning, implementing and administering all aspects of ServiceNow in an enterprise-class environment. They may also have similar experience with related technology services, and can deliver excellent results with minimal supervision. They will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a strong attention to detail, and possess superior maturity, professionalism and judgment.

Primary Responsibilities:

They will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that are aligned with business and IT strategies. Gathering and documenting user and process requirements, functional requirements, and developing technical requirements. Developing workflow customizations, and supporting the Service transformation teams. The SME should assume other roles as needed i.e. Business Analyst, Interim Project Manager, Admin/Developer, and tester as required.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting changes in the application. The ServiceNow SME will be responsible for core system configuration.
  • Implementation of ServiceNow
  • Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate rollout of new applications and modules and configure Application UI and Configure Workflow
  • Collaborate effectively with other ServiceNow administrators to develop solutions and handle general updates and configuration changes/requests
  • Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions
  • Ensure the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to IT operations
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools
  • Ensure appropriate tools and processes are in place to have a development/production environment that is reliable and reproducible
  • Ensure tool configuration consistency across development, QA, and production environments
  • Participate in ongoing production support and end user support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of professional information technology experience with systems analysis and application development experience, including administration, implementation, integration, and configuration in ServiceNow
  • 3 years of experience of ServiceNow with the ServiceNow platform in an Admin/Developer Capacity administering an enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow production environment, including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI configuration, catalog items, reports, and updates
  • Experience developing custom applications in ServiceNow, leveraging scripted workflows, complex business rules, client-side/server-side scripting, custom UI pages, ACLs, custom widgets, and custom reporting, custom CMS/ Employee Self Service portals
  • Expert knowledge and hands on experience of ServiceNow Application
  • Comfortable deploying ServiceNow in a multi-datacenter environment
  • Aptitude to troubleshoot L2/L3 problems as they relate to ServiceNow Application
  • Well versed with documenting process and procedures implemented into ServiceNow
  • Experience upgrading within ServiceNow application
  • Experience architecting and designing ServiceNow Application
  • Maintain and create service level agreement matrix(SLA)
  • Support Single-Sign On instances
  • Create and use update sets to move customizations between system
  • Intermediate skill with JavaScript required for process development and automation; experience with XML
  • Ability to come up with solutions for improving procedures and workflows
  • Search, populate, and customize the knowledge base
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, web applications, networks, protocols and email (SMTP, POP3).
  • Understanding of enterprise IT architecture.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint Windows Services, Windows AD Security Knowledge
