Aureon has an opening for a Graphic Designer. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with creative concept development
  • Translate marketing strategy into compelling design by moving original designs from concept through completion
  • Proactively communicate with internal customers and team, including the ability to elicit the necessary information to successfully complete projects that exceed customer expectations
  • Understand brand essence and appropriately apply style guidelines across multiple elements
  • Possess excellent typography, composition, and layout skills
  • Exhibit broad experience in multiple design disciplines and mediums
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, including the ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Manage relationships and expectations across multiple customers
  • Adhere to internal best practices, including graphic file organization

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Graphic designers who support the print production must additionally demonstrate the ability to:

  • Create a variety of original printed materials, including sales collateral, product sheets, print advertisements, brochures, signage, trade show displays, presentations, and related client and publicly facing materials
  • Correctly build art files correctly for reproduction, as well as the ability to proof files in a pre-production setting
  • Manage print production processes, including collaboration with a variety of printers and production vendors

Graphic designers who support the digital marketing team must additionally demonstrate the ability to:

  • Design for a variety of digital outputs, including HTML emails, campaign landing pages, and websites
  • Create original graphics for use digital media, as well as competency in digital image manipulation and layout.
  • Create and maintain website content, including wireframe development, layout changes, page design and content updates
  • Execute designs that adhere to best practices in user experience
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with technical team members, including website developers, etc.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree, and
  • Three to five years of design experience, or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred

  • Degree in Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design, or related area preferred
  • Significant experience with business to business marketing or advertising strongly preferred
  • Interactive and video design experience preferred
  • General knowledge of information technology, telecommunications, and/or human resources industries and terminology is helpful

  • Excellent creativity with an understanding of design principles and an eye for modern design aesthetics
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under general supervision and work independently on projects
  • Utilize work experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, employees, superiors and business contacts in a professional, timely and courteous manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, often changing assignments on short notice
  • Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards
  • Ability to present information to various groups in a variety of formats

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE:

Required

  • Must proficiently operate Windows PC and exhibit a working knowledge of cross platform (PC vs. Mac) applications and compatibility
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of personal computer applications within Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including proficient use of Microsoft Outlook
  • All graphic designers must proficiently operate the Adobe Creative Suite of software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, and Acrobat Pro
  • Graphic designers who support the digital marketing team must also demonstrate proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite web-enabling tools, including Dreamweaver, After Effects, and Media Encoder; additionally, they must demonstrate competency with basic HTML/CSS

Preferred

  • Experience with creative project management systems (i.e. traffic systems) helpful
  • Experience with CMS systems strongly recommended
