Job Descriptions:

Assembler:

• Blue Streak Experience
• Composite assembly experience.
• Ability to read and understand detailed instruction; read blueprints; perform mathematical calculations. 
• Ability to use hand and power tools. 
• Ability to use and read precision measuring equipment; caliper, index blocks & height gauge.

Laminator:

• Lay-up composite materials according to manufacturing plan, drawings and specifications
• Adheres to schedules and time allowances for production requirements. 
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental control standards.
• Composite experience.

Trim:

• Trim fabricated components using band saw, router, and hand power tools. 
• Read and interpret blueprints. 
• Meet Schedules for production requirements.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. 
• Promotes workplace safety.

Water Strider:

• Using carts on wheels, verify and pull required materials and load carts on the moving lines.
• Apply Frekote (release agent) to the tools in preparation for layup.
• Update part completion in the computer.
• Responsible for general area clean-up and any other duties, as assigned, to keep the production operators at their workstations.
• Assist or relieve any production position, temporarily when necessary, to keep the production lines moving. 
• Communicate with stores and other departments to obtain supplies and materials.

Plaster:

  • Pour molds for products conforming to specifications provided by the customer requirements
  • De-mold plaster parts and clean to requirements
  • Prepare molds for curing process and follow established procedures
  • Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to position
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills and Abilities: 

  • Ability to use power and hand tools (i.e. scissors, box knives, glue/heat guns, scraper)
  • Basic understanding of process specifications
  • Able to work with/around fiberglass, resins, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail

Education and/or Experience:                           
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas.  PPE is provided by AIM based on the employee’s position and exposure.

Shifts:

1st Shift: 6:30a-3p

2nd Shift: 3:30p-12a

3rd Shift: 10:30p-7a
