The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting all new residential construction, renovations, and existing properties to ensure compliance with a variety of codes (such as building code, mechanical code, plumbing code, safety code, etc) and to maintain healthy, sanitary and safe conditions. 

Essential Functions

1. Promotes an ongoing attitude of dedication to excellent service to ensure that internal and external customers are provided with the highest quality of service.
2. Performs all work safely an in compliance with Company, Federal, State, and Local rules and regulations.
3. Performs field inspections on all categories such as structural, plumbing, electrical, and other systems to assure specifications are met and compliance with applicable codes
4. Follows up to verify corrections of violations are made and takes appropriate action to insure compliance.
5. Maintains records, prepares and submits written compliance report.
6. Maintains current knowledge of technical developments in the field, studies technical literature and attends meetings to keep current on applicable codes and code changes as they occur.

Required Education and Experience

1. High School Diploma
2. Minimum five years of experience in work related to building codes or related field

Preferred Education and Experience

1. OSHA 10 or 30 Hour training.
2. Two year college degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management or related field.
3. International Code Council (ICC) /Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) Certification
   1. ICC: 64 – Property Maintenance & Housing Inspector
   2. ICC: B1 – Residential Building Inspector
   3. ICC: B2 –  Commercial Building Inspector
   4. ICC: M1 – Residential Mechanical Inspector

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

1. Valid Driver’s License
