Job Title: Safety Coordinator

 

Job Responsibilities:

    Included, but not limited to:

  • Assist Safety Director with:
    • Jobsite safety inspections
    • Manage work related injury cases
    • Adhere to and enforce safety policies and regulations
    • Train employees regarding safe work practices and other safety issues
    • OSHA recordkeeping
    • Other various safety related duties as assigned by the Safety Director

 

Job Qualifications:  

  • Minimum education: HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Minimum 3 years commercial building and/or civil construction experience
  • Working knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry standards
  • Basic knowledge of Kansas Worker's Compensation Laws
  • Basic computer skills, (Work, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to speak in front of a group
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, physical and physical agility test
  • Must be able to travel regionally, sometimes overnight for up to a week at a time
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and long hours when necessary
  • Must be able to tolerate extreme weather conditions, (ie, extreme heat and cold)
