Job Description

The Manager, Marketing Engagement, Canada supports all marketing initiatives and activities pertaining to the Canadian market, particularly focusing on French speaking aspects of marketing including all French content (required by Canadian Law), collateral print and digital in French, and channel marketing for Canada. The Manager, Marketing Engagement, Canada will support the planning and execution of all events in Canada focusing on lead generation, brand management and thought leadership, execute the translation of existing and new collateral into the French Canadian language, and drive social media in French for Quebec audiences and overall Canadian social media.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages and organizes Canadian trade shows and events identifying and resolving problems and ensuring positive executions.
  • Leads all translation efforts from English to Canadian French for marketing related items for the website, social media, press releases, whitepapers, case studies, blogs, and all other promotional copy.
  • Ensures promotional material is up-to-date by coordinating requirements with Creative team.
  • Maintains inventory of marketing materials, places orders, verifies receipt, and supports the sales team in preparing and coordinating in conjunction with the Logistics team the shipment of materials.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, creative teams, production and build teams, and third-party vendors in event planning process.
  • Evaluate, help select & direct outside agencies and vendors in Canada; including industry associations, advertising agencies, freelance writers and media contacts.
  • Support product launch process and go-to-market plan development for Canada with input from sales team.
  • Be the champion of Sales organization in Canada.
  • Manage event expenses and review accuracy of invoices, maintaining event history and records.
  • Identify new events, sponsorships, and partnerships for increased brand awareness.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

  • Perfectly bilingual: French native speaker skills with excellent English language abilities.
  • 7+ years plus marketing communications and experience.
  • Events management skills
  • Seamless translation and editing ability from English to Canadian French.
  • Track record of successfully promoting in B2B environment and helping build brands with recognized impact.
  • Demonstrated track record in excelling at project management and working successfully with creative, operations, product, sales and other functional teams.
  • Experience in marketing electronics or physical security products in B2B environment.
  • Ability to market to highly segmented audiences, including integrators, A&E firms, end-users and distributors.
  • Tracking and measure content performance and refining the strategy accordingly.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related discipline
