The Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator is responsible for the administration and functionality improvement of the Cornerstone Learning Management System as well as the coordination of multiple training and development initiatives with a strong focus on technology.  Additionally, this position may perform other creative duties in a team environment such as eLearning development and design, videography, and designing training materials.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides LMS training and support to all levels of LMS users. Follows up on any reported issues and ensures timely and reliable response.
  • Performs all duties required for eLearning content launch including course upload, testing, assignment, and providing support for internal and third party course content.
  • Coordinates the delivery of training programs within the LMS consisting of instructor led and eLearning, video components including: learner schedules, logistics and room scheduling, vendor relations, materials logistics, project management, and program evaluation.
  • Performs regular LMS quality assurance including: researching and resolving LMS functionality issues as they arise, designing and controlling of access levels for Admin security, and maintenance of specified user groups.
  • Communicates with LMS vendor to ensure system accessibility and technical standards.
  • Participates in user groups and industry forums to stay current on new technologies and applications in the LMS.
  • Oversees the installation of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and other software integrated within the learning management system and tests all changes to the LMS.
  • Creates and maintains course evaluations, and transcript reports for online and classroom training courses. Compiles and communicates these in order to measure training effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with other Training & Development team members on innovative solutions to maximize training effectiveness through the LMS to improve user experience.
  • Reviews all training material for accuracy before approving and publishing to users. 
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date monthly training calendar and master course catalog.
  • Develops, documents, and maintains standard operating procedures, best practices, and guidelines for the LMS.
  • Researches and communicates third party vendor solutions for training and development. Maintains communication with selected vendors.

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or experience equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years training coordination/ LMS administration experience preferably with Cornerstone
  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years instructional design experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the ADDIE model in relation to training development
  • Fluency in graphic design, web design software and other applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign HTML, PowerPoint, and Storyline Articulate is a plus
  • Exceptional digital skills including knowledge and experience with infographics, conceptual thinking, and current trends in communications/visual storytelling
  • Experience with multimedia software packages (flash/animate), videography, digital video editing, video streaming, and other production tools is a plus
  • Strong technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, Flash, CSS, Java Script
  • Strong computer/technical background required
  • Strong organizational skills required
  • Excellent communication skills required – verbal, written and interpersonal
