Position Description:
Candidate will be responsible for assisting the Philadelphia Traffic Department with the preparation, evaluation, and analysis of various types of technical traffic engineering studies and make recommendations of engineering solutions in urban and rural settings including: Traffic Impact Studies, Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis, Traffic Management Plans, and Maintenance of Traffic Alternative Analysis. Other duties include the development of geometric, signing, lighting, and pavement marking solutions to traffic engineering problems. Anticipated assignments will be both design and operations and include signal and ITS design, traffic signal analysis and studies, pedestrian studies, incident management plans and studies, MPT plans, safety studies and report preparation.

Job Requirements:
Ideal candidate will have at least 1-5 years of experience of traffic related experience. A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and EIT certification is required. Candidate should have experience using MicroStation/AutoCAD. Experience with traffic design and operations along with Synchro and VISSIM software is a plus. Candidate must possess strong communication and organizational skills. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license as well as access to a vehicle which may be used on the job is required.   #LI-ST1
