We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season. 

Job Description

Our Ames Concrete Crew has an opening for the construction season for a General Laborer.  Job duties include preparing and placing concrete for handwork and curb and gutter machine work, manual labor such as digging, leveling, and spreading dirt, gravel or earth and other construction materials by using hand tools.  Pounding stakes, removing forms for set concrete, and other non-machine tasks are performed on a regular basis.  

• This individual will start working as soon as weather permits. 
• Qualified applicants must be able to stand on feet for extended period of time and able to work long hours.
• Previous equipment operating experience a plus.
• Willingness to obtain CDL
• Training may be provided to candidates to obtain experience and/or certifications, as needed
• This is a full-time seasonal position based out of Ames, Iowa which requires travel during the construction season.
