Human Resource Generalist

ROLE:

This role coordinates and administers a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR activities. With direct supervision by HR Management or Senior HR professionals this position will coordinate or administer various aspects of the organization’s compensation and benefit, recruitment, training, organization development, and employee relations programs. The Generalist will operate in and be responsible for more than one of these areas and perform many of the same activities as professionals that specialize in these individual HR functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Accommodate employee questions, concerns and/or complaints
    • Fills open positions with internal and external candidates, including recruitment efforts, postings, interviews, and job offers
    • Facilitates internal training including new hire orientation and various internal training programs
    • Note taker for various meetings – ie: employee communication meetings, management meeting, etc.
    • Process written and verbal Verification of Employment
    • Processes and distributes monthly production schedules and internal job postings.
    • Is responsible for maintaining very confidential information and protecting its security
    • Performs various clerical and statistical assignments related to personnel functions
    • SAP and Lawson master data entry and maintenance of addresses and phone numbers
    • Conducts stay and exit interviews to assist HR manager
    • Attends and/or participates in job and career fairs
    • Performs many functions that requires self-starting and correction, while also performing a wide variety of routine assignments:
      • Updating and reviewing attendance records
      • Huber schedules
      • Order/stock office supplies
      • Conference room scheduling
      • Set-up and coordination of customer visits, tours, and meetings
      • Security guard/janitorial communication
      • Create/print employee badge cards
      • Oversight of entire uniform program for the plant

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • An HR degree is required

  • Must be familiar with company policies, insurance programs, and employment practices. And must be able to communicate these items to employees in a manner that not only provides clarity, but gives best company position
  • Motivation and great attitude
  • Reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Excellent oral, listening, and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
  • Being honest and ethical
  • Background in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, AS/400, etc.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Develop and prepare to take on future HR Manager role within WF
