We are currently seeking a Foreman to join our growing team! 

Position Overview:

To be able to work and be on-call as scheduled for emergency response, land service and maritime contracts or projects.  The Field Service Foremen is responsible for the supervision of Field Technicians I & II.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

•   Organizes crews, delegates job responsibilities and verifies that the appropriate equipment is available and on-site to complete the project/job.
•   Works with their manager in the allocation of manpower, equipment and other resources needed for the next day.
•   Communicates with the project manager to ensure contractual obligations are met.  Prepares and submits project progression status reports and ensures change orders are completed/communicated and executed before any additional work is performed.
•   Responsible for quick and immediate response when you are on call or secure coverage for your shift and communicate your replacement's name to the coordinator.
•   Responsible for the accurate completion and submission of daily work sheets for proper billing to customer.
•   Responsible for Health and Safety issues on assigned projects/jobs.
•   Responsible for the training and mentoring of Field Technicians I & II and will also provide input to the Branch Manager regarding performance evaluations for individuals to whom this position has direct supervision.
•   Maintains in good working order and appearance assigned Company vehicle and other equipment that is assigned.
•  Responsible for the timely reporting of work-related accidents/incidents to employees under their supervision
•  Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the OP-TECH NRC business. 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalency. 2 or 4 year degree in Environmental Studies is preferred.  Able to perform excavations. Heavy equipment operation experience helpful.  Emergency Response Supervisor training (preferred).  2-4 years’ experience in Environmental Field Service operations (preferred). Knowledge of chemicals and background (preferred). CDL license, Tanker & HAZMAT Endorsement (preferred). Asbestos handler or supervisor license (preferred).  

Must complete and keep current confined space entry (CSE) training.
40 Hour Hazwoper Certification and current 8 hour refresher
Valid driver’s license.
Valid class "C" driver’s license.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search as well continued verifications throughout employment to ensure that all records meet company policy standards.
