Position:  Program Coordinator

Location:  Davenport, IA

The focus of this position is to implement and support the direct services provided by River Bend Foodbank programs. This includes education, policy enforcement, monitoring and compliance to ensure capacity building and effectiveness of each program. They will collaborate with leadership in determining all strategic and tactical functions necessary for the program to be successful. This position is responsible for all documents, records and administrative reporting related to the program. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, the ability to multi-task, and have excellent customer service skills.

Essential job functions
• Serve as the liaison between RBFB and Program Partners to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships
• Assist with program administration, volunteer training and management, all logistical matters and day to day operations of RBFB programs.
• Communicate internally with all RBFB departments as needed, including Operations, Development, Finance and Administration.
• Answer questions and deliver information to Program Partners in a timely manner
• Oversee the process of tabulating and maintaining program statistics.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, RBFB and Feeding America requirements and criteria
• Lead efforts to educate program partners in things such as food safety and nutrition.
• Serve as a backup to the Director of Programs for required program implementation, monitoring and reporting
• All other duties as assigned


Skills, Education and Experience
• 4-year degree and/or comparable experience in a customer service or project management environment
• Experience in the not for profit sector a plus
• Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Primarius
• Self-Starter, able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong External Customer Focus
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills/Relationship Building Skills
• Capable of maintaining multiple accounts including completing follow up
• Willingness to travel and have access to viable and dependable transportation

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
• Unencumbered Driver’s License
