We are currently seeking a Foreman to join our growing team! 

Position Overview:

To be operationally focused with an emphasis on scheduling and assigning work to others to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining accurate project records.  To be able to work and be on-call as needed for NRC 24-hours, 7 days per week on emergency response, land service and maritime contracts or projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the general direction of a Project Supervisor or PM, manage and supervise all activities of a work crew including the execution of fieldwork encompassed in marine services, industrial cleaning, UST removal, waste packaging and disposal, site demolition, emergency spill response and site cleanup projects.
  • Train operators and/or Techs in the performance of their jobs, use of NRC equipment and the use of PPE.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and verify that work is completed as scheduled.
  • Correct completion of all NRC paperwork and project documentation including accurate recording of time worked, Daily work reports, Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms, Hazardous Waste Manifest, Notes/Incident Action Logbook.
  • Ability to identify, record, and communicate critical project information to superiors and handle emergency situations in an effective manner.
  • Understand and comply with company and client safety standards/requirements along with accurate completion of Health & Safety documents including proper accident/injury reporting.
  • Ensure that assigned equipment is maintained and operated in compliance with all regulatory laws and safety requirements.
  • May be required to operate various equipment, drive NRC vehicles and water craft.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Requires High School or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills)
  • 2+ years’ experience performing related work (fire fighting, emergency response, general construction, industrial cleaning).
  • Qualified employees must possess or be able to complete a 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • Must have the ability to lead by example and set tone for the project by displaying professionalism, proper communication with clients and team work along with the ability to instill motivation with a positive attitude and focus on customer service. 
  • Must be hands-on and willing to work side by side with crew to accomplish NRC goals of completing a profitable job to the client’s satisfaction. Must have a valid Class “C” License and maintain a MVR that meets company policy standards.
  • HazMat endorsements preferred. Confined Space Entry Training and CPR/First Aid Training is desirable.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and don a respirator and perform heavy lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds; stoop, crawl, bend, push, pull and walk on uneven terrain or slippery conditions.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% and work extended hours including evenings and weekends, working in often undesirable conditions, in inclement weather while be exposed to dust, fumes, dirt, heat, cold, noise, vibrations.
