Linxx Global Solutions (Linxx) is looking for experienced instructors to fill positions as AT-NSF Antiterriorism (AT) Leadership Course Instructors. Positions are located at CENSECFOR Detachment Chesapeake, Virginia.

Responsibilities

Instructors shall deliver classroom training in support of the Navy’s AT Program, specifically the Antiterrorism Officer (ATO) Level II (A-830-0031, J-830-0032, A830-0037), portions of the Naval Security Force Officer (A-7H-0007) and planning portions of the Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure Boarding Officer (VBSS BO) (A-2E-0085) courses of instruction. These courses are designed to provide personnel with the requisite knowledge for coordination, management, and oversight of AT programs and/or operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Possess high personal standards of technical knowledge and professional competence in delivering training material.
  • Possess the ability to perform in a military environment.
  • Possess a familiarity with the organization and hierarchy of the U. S. Navy, military rank/grade structure.
  • Possess a knowledge of Navy and military terminology, and shipboard/installation environments and configurations.
  • Possess knowledge of basic and advance training techniques and of computer technology applications as they apply to instructional delivery.
  • Possess a basic understanding of Military/Civilian Security Force techniques.
  • Team player with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Possess fitness and conditioning to support the level of instruction.
  • Capable of performing all training evolutions.
  • Capable of passing a medical screening, psychological evaluation, drug screen and background check.
  • Present a professional appearance. 

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen
  • Current SECRET clearance
  • Must have one of the following qualifications:
    • Have attended the Navy Instructor Training Course (NITC) (A-012-0077) (or military service equivalent), or
    • Academic credentialing (teacher/professor), or
    • Instructor training via an academic institution. Academic ITC requirements should contain at a minimum, these Learning Objectives:
      • Effective communication and questioning techniques
      • Adult learning theory and principles
      • Instructional Delivery methods
      • Lesson delivery performance laboratory
      • Training environment management
      • Inter-personal skills
      • Evaluation and Feedback
  • Past successful experience in AT Program Management, to include completion of at least two years assignment as an Installation ATO, Installation Security Officer or Assistant Installation Security Officer; OR
  • Completion of a tour of duty as Echelon 2 command AT/force protection staff officer, or NCIS, Afloat Training Group, or TYCOM level or above AT assessment or training team.

Preferred Requirements

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

  • Past experience in Maritime Interdiction Operations, preferably as a VBSS BO.
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current Basic First Aid Certification
