SPECIAL INSPECTOR

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:

Quality Control Manager or Corporate Quality Control Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Monitor the onsite construction activities and inspecting materials to verify compliance with plans, specifications and special provisions for the construction contract.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

◾Perform sampling and testing of component materials and completed work in accordance with the project specifications

◾Prepare reports on inspection activities

◾Scheduling of inspection activities and client relations

◾Assist in the preparation of proposals

◾File documentation and complete required Technical Report forms

◾Assist the Project Oversight/Project Administrator

◾Other duties as assigned

 Position Requirements 

• AWS - CWI - ICC Structural Welding S2
• ICC Structural Steel & High Strength Bolting S1 - ICC Structural Masonry
• ICC Master Special Inspector - ICC Spray-Applied Fireproofing
• NICET Level 2- Soils, Asphalt & Concrete - ICC Reinforced Concrete
• ASTC Certification
• NACE CIP Level 2- NDT UT Level 2

COMMENTS:

Willingness to work on a remote tropical island for a minimum of one year. Company paid housing, meals, and transportation. Compensation dependent on experience and qualifications. Must have a US passport, or the ability to obtain one.
