Position Summary:

Assist in management of strategy deployment process, including planning and executing corporate strategy activities as required by the organization’s action plans.  Market & Industry Analysis in defense system integrations and subsystems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform market & industry research and analysis to support the development of AMG’s Strategy Review Process
  2. Support AMG’s competitive benchmarking process through researching and analyzing key performance indicators of industry leaders and key competitors; develop summary reports and recommended actions
  3. Assist with special projects currently underway in the Strategy Department; including assistance in managing Integrated Project Teams (IPT’s), developing project schedules, scope statements, and financial models
  4. Support the Strategy Deployment Process (SDP); including coordination and support of AMG’s different business units to align and execute action plans and the associated tracking and reporting of key metrics

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Must be highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and planning skills:

  1. College student going into their junior or senior year studying Business, Logistics, Supply Chain or Industrials/Operations Engineering.
  2. Proven self-starter; able to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty; able to effectively operate without constant supervision
  3. Prior intern/co-op experience in Strategy, Corporate Development, Business Management, or Finance is a plus
  4. Experience in analyzing annual reports & income statements; performing NPV analysis
  5. Project Management experience is a plus
  6. Skilled with the MS Office suite of software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
    -Experience in developing Excel financial models a plus
    -MS Project experience is a plus

Physical Effort:

 Light physical effort- intermittent sitting, standing, walking, no major physical strain.
