Job Description:

Operate various types of front end loaders and dozers such as but not limited Caterpillar or Kawasaki front end loaders to work at asphalt plants to load and feed the hopper of an asphalt plant with necessary materials to produce asphalt.  May perform other duties as well at the plant or other job sites.  May be working on multiple sites as the need arises.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating front end loader and other equipment to perform the various task at the plant or other types of grading projects.
  • Must be able to perform walk around inspections of equipment before operation.
  • May be asked to perform other duties such as labor work that may be associated with each project.
  • Job may entail working at night from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications & Training: 

  • One to two years of front end loader operations.  May train the right candidate.
  • Ability to abide by precise instructions and strict buy necessary safety rules and policies.
  • Must be a reliable/trustworthy team player.
  • Maintain a good attendance and safety record.

Tasks Essential to Job Functions: 

  • Occasional standing and walking required.
  • Ability to work long periods of time while sitting.
  • Ability to operate equipment at recommended speeds and peaks of operation.
  • Must be productive during each shift and be willing to meet the goals that are set.
  • Visual Activity - ability to work with equipment technology.
  • Ability to work weekends and some nights.
  • Ability to work irregular start and stop times.
