As our companies continue to grow, new opportunities become available. We are currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa!

 Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or coordinate content, including copy, functionality, photo and video, for websites, print and digital newsletters, ads, collateral, direct mail, social media, and other marketing and communications deliverables for both internal and external audiences
  • Coordinate graphic design of ads, newsletters, websites, collateral, direct mail, and other marketing and communications deliverables to ensure strategic and consistent branding and messaging
  • Coordinate production of deliverables with vendors, within budget parameters
  • Coordinate donations and sponsorships, leveraging opportunities for greatest impact. Maintain related records, and process payment and other transactions
  • Maintain social media platforms, including researching and keeping in tune with best practices, developing editorial calendar, posting, tracking analytics, etc. Plan and coordinate internal and external events, regional and national conferences and tradeshows, client appreciation events, and other events and initiatives
  • Participate in annual and project-based strategic planning
  • Foster relationships with appropriate media and industry entities, and promote companies and employees as credible sources
  • Serve as a resource and editor for employees’ and departments’ communications
  • Create and maintain internal documents, including website analytics, market opportunity database, customer lists, organization charts, library of industry and company publications, etc.
  • Coordinate company and department award submissions

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or other related field
  • 1-3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience working in a web content management system, preferably WordPress
  • Working knowledge of navigating and interpreting Google Analytics reporting
  • Willingness and ability to learn additional programs as necessary
  • Familiarity with photography, video, video editing, and Adobe Creative Suite programs a plus
  • Possess a willingness to jump in and learn
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, team orientated and collaborative in nature
  • Outstanding communication skills required – verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Up to date with social media trends
  • Willingness and ability to learn about the contract-based utility vegetation management industry in which our companies operate
  • Availability for moderate travel
