Mennonite Village is a well-respected not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) with a 70+ year history. We are currently seeking a Central Supply Coordinator to be responsible for the management of all aspects of Central Supply purchasing and inventory.
Day Shift Monday – Friday 40 hours per week. Starts at $17.57+ DOE
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train Central Supply Assistants.
- Delegate duties as needed to fulfill Central Supply responsibilities.
- Maintain schedule and make adjustments as needed.
- Train other Mennonite Village staff on use of scanners and other Central Supply procedures as needed.
Responsibilities related to Medical Supplies and Equipment:
- Maintain supply storage areas (Cottage 3 & 4) in a clean, orderly, and organized manner.
- Maintain oxygen room and medical supply rooms for the Mennonite Home, Lydia’s House & Quail Run. Make sure they are kept in a clean, orderly, and organized manner.
- Review supply requisitions, supply/order product and deliver to appropriate person, noting and reviewing unusual requests to ensure theft is minimized and supply levels are adequate and appropriate for the Mennonite Home, Lydia’s House, Quail Run and as requested for other departments.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure appropriate supplies/equipment are ordered and maintained.
- Receive supply deliveries for all departments and check invoices with purchase orders, packing slips, and supplies to ensure accuracy with received supplies and equipment. Deliver product to appropriate person or department.
- Maintain and update Policies and Procedures for the Central Supply Cottage (Cottage 4).
- Maintain paper supply to Copy Room areas.
- Coordinate shopping for locally purchased items (Fred Meyer, Costco, Staples, etc.) on a weekly basis or as otherwise needed based on urgency.
Responsibilities related to Inventory Control:
- Maintain physical inventory of equipment (Cottage 3) on a daily (weekday) basis.
- Perform semi-annual physical inventory of medical supplies.
- Maintain electronic inventory system including receipt of shipments, usage, and cost.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain/update the electronic inventory system for the Mennonite Home, Lydia’s House and Quail Run by updating product information, resident information and syncing the scanners as needed.
- Research product/cost comparisons for all departments on requested basis.
- Attend meetings with vendor representatives.
- Run errands for emergency supply needs.
- Perform other duties and as assigned by supervisor.
- Use proper body mechanics when lifting and request assistance if safe lifting is not achievable due to weight or size of item.
- Regular attendance and punctuality is an essential function of the job.
- Abides by the HIPAA policies and reports to a supervisor, breaches (or violations) of our HIPAA policies.
- Immediately reports identified hazards or hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
- Immediately reports adverse events and near misses to a supervisor.
- Attends mandatory training on HIPPA and compliance annually.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to routinely lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift 65+ pounds (e.g. box of 8.5x14 paper).
- Ability to stand, bend, and turn at the waist for extended time periods.
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, and in writing.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use automated information systems. Experience with computers, inventory control, and/or data entry preferred.
- Ability to work with confidential information appropriately.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to make decisions independently and to represent Mennonite Village in a professional manner.
