CarePro Home Medical—Cedar Rapids is seeking a full-time Respiratory Intake Coordinator. This position is scheduled for Monday thru Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and rotating Saturday mornings. The successful candidate will be dependable and seeking long-term employment. Must have excellent communication and people skills and be team-oriented while providing excellent customer service.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate new patient set-ups, including confirming insurance, applicable co-pays, and physician orders to necessitate prescribed equipment such as, oxygen, apnea monitors, CPAP/BIPAP, and oximeters
- Schedule and instruct nocturnal oximetry requests from providers
- Schedule other respiratory appointments as necessary (mask fittings, card downloads)
- Provide resupply to patients as needed
- Maintain patient information, process paperwork, and data entry
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills - must be able to help patients, answer phones, and process paperwork in a timely manner
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); Proven experience in the home medical equipment industry, neurodiagnostics, and/or respiratory services; knowledge of Medicare rules and insurance reimbursement are a plus; strong computer skills required in order to enter patient information into the data system and utilize online resources, as well as competency with Microsoft Office and Internet.
