The Landing at Stone Oak has openings for both full-time and part-time caregivers on on the 10pm - 6am shift. 

The Landing is a Type B assisted living community specializing in care for people with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders. Our small-scale, elegant building offers a residential--not institutional--living environment. Amenities include cozy dens (just like home!), hair salon, landscaped courtyard and art studio.

Our person-centered philosophy of care emphasizes resident empowerment and engagement: staff assist residents to participate in their own care to the extent they are able, and support them in making choices and staying involved in pastimes they find enjoyable and meaningful. All staff receive special training in dementia and the person-centered approach to care.

Prior experience in memory care strongly preferred.

Starting wage is $10.50 per hour.

CAREGIVER DUTIES include:

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and mobility, and dining set-up and eating
• Changing bed linens and towels
• Laundering and putting away residents’ clothing
• Engaging residents in meaningful conversations during care; encouraging and supporting them in pursuing hobbies and interests, socialization, and structured community activities
• Assisting in the dining room during meals
• Completing scheduled rounds to monitor residents’ well-being
• Monitoring residents for changes in behavior or physical condition and reporting unusual symptoms, accidents, or incidents
• Assisting with housekeeping and sanitation: cleaning wheelchairs and other equipment according to schedule, assisting with vacuuming and dusting, etc.

The Landing is located in far north San Antonio at 19110 Huebner, just west of Blanco. It is operated by Franklin Park--one of the Franklin Companies.
