We are a growing organization seeking committed candidates to help us serve our clients. We have an opportunity for Pipe Fitters: 

 

Preferred Experience

Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems,

Apply knowledge of system operation, and follow blueprints. 

Select type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment. 

Inspect work site to determine presence of obstructions and to ascertain that holes cut for pipes will not cause structural weakness.

Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and to avoid interfering with activities of other workers. 

Cut pipe, using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and/or pipe cutting machine.

Thread pipe, using pipe threading machine and bend pipe, using pipe bending tools and pipe bending machine.

Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.  Connect pipes. 

Secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.

Install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment, and refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. 

Increase pressure in pipe system and observe connected pressure gauge to test system for leaks. 

Must be able to perform basic rigging practices as well as flagging practices based on OSHA 1926.1428.  Must be able to safely use hand and power tools. Must be able to work safely and follow Company and site safety policies.

 

Job Duties Include:

Monitor and maintain building systems as assigned

Execute various minor construction projects as required

Willingness and ability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice, in order to meet businesses’ needs.

Maintain equipment & clean around workstations.

Interface with supervisor &/or manager to give progress updates as required

Able to work outdoors in the elements

Work in tight spaces – physically able to climb up and down safely in proximity of manufacturing and process equipment.

Elevated work > 4’ – fall protection required

 

Planned to pay per diem; planned to work 50 hours a week; planned for 20 weeks; planned job location is in Pennsylvania

The job requires occasionally remaining on one's feet in an upright position without moving for long periods of time, occasionally moving about on foot for long periods of time, remaining in a seated position for long periods of time, and/or climbing stairs, step-ladders, extension ladders and scaffolding ladders. The job also requires the ability to raise or lower an object of approximately 5-50 pounds from one level to another, the ability to transport an object of up to 50 pounds a distance of up to 10 yards, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder, the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves away from the force, and/or the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and a negligible amount of force constantly so that an object moves toward the force.

 

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
