GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
With limited supervision, the Mechanic repairs, modifies and performs preventative maintenance on all vineyard equipment, vehicles and irrigation pumps. Using stock on hand to perform any tasks, will also arrange purchases for supplies or additional materials. Troubleshoot problems as reported by equipment operators; may be on-call for emergencies. The position involves, but is not limited to, the following tasks and duties:
• Fabricates, constructs, installs, and repairs equipment
• Diagnoses equipment problems and determines repairs as needed
• Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Vineyard Manager or Supervisor
The hours/days of work for this position will vary during the year. This is a full-time, non exempt position.
GENERAL WORK AREA LOCATION:
This position is located at the vineyard in Healdsburg CA
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years heavy duty mechanic experience repairing equipment such as tractors,
sprayers, harvesters, and irrigation pumps
• Background working on equipment brands - John Deere, Caterpillar, Rears, Korvan
• Must have a clean driver’s license
• Class A License preferred

Travel: Minimal; limited to Healdsburg and Geyserville locations
Required Tools and Equipment: The employer provides large work tools for some site specific machinery. The individual mechanic is expected to possess his own tool chest containing personal hand tools, such as wrenches and ratchets for general mechanic jobs.
