We are currently seeking an experienced Inside Sales/Account Manager for our X-Cel Specialty Contact Lens Division located in Sarasota, FL.  X-Cel is a leading manufacturer and distributor of contact lenses; providing Eye Care Professionals with superior products and services. This is an excellent opportunity to join our TEAM!

Job Summary

Manage, maintain and grow X-Cel’s market share within the contact lens industry using best telesales practices. Instruct accounts on our contact lens products; provide advice on fitting techniques and consulting regarding vision modalities. Motivate practitioners to change fitting habits in favor of our contact lens products. Effectively utilize selling skills to identify customer needs and position and sell our contact lens products to meet those needs. Demonstrate a professional demeanor and indicate a high level of industry knowledge, and could represent the company at trade functions.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct direct sales activities within assigned territory.
  • Mine for, and win, new business with existing or potential customers.
  • Conduct account analysis and analyze market research to assess business potential and product sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong professional selling skills; professionally trained.
  • Meet or exceed all forecasted sales objectives. Provide reporting within the time and information guidelines.
  • Conduct and develop business in a professional, cost effective, targeted manner.
  • Travel as required to support business objectives. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record that complies with The Walman Optical Co. Motor Vehicle Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • College degree and three (3) or more years of successful related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional communication skills are required; public speaking, listening, verbal, and written proficiency.
  • Demonstrate strong professional selling skills; training via professional sales courses and on the job experience that shows sustained sales growth over time in prior sales positions.
  • Industry experience a plus.
