Job Summary
The Traffic Control Foreman is a member of the operations team and is responsible for implementing the traffic control plan as designed and detailed by a registered engineer. The Traffic Control Foreman would schedule crews and equipment, order materials and coordinate with subcontractors. This position requires the need for flexibility to remain on call 24/7 to assist with traffic situations as they occur.
Essential Functions
- Communicating and working with craft supervision, owners, vendors, subcontractors and members of the project team.
- Plans, organizes and supervises all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations.
- Contract administration and cost control
- Problem solving
- Five years of experience planning, organizing and supervising all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations is required.
- Two years of which were at the lead level or an equivalent combination of closely related training and experience.
- Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management and fellow employees.
- Project scheduling
- Control and allocate available resources; prioritize projects on the basis of greatest need and monitor budget to allow maximum utilization of resources.
- Budget and crew rate review
- Submittal of time sheets.

- 5 -10 years previous heavy highway construction management experience
- Medium to Large project experience ($50M+) is required
