Primary function of a Senior Mechanical Estimator:  Provides mechanical estimates (piping and equipment) in order to acquire new projects that meet the goals of the Crowder Industrial Construction, LLC business plan. 

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Bid Preparation

• Must have commensurate experience in leading mechanical estimates with heavy civil and electrical requirements.
• Specialize in industrial construction with a focus on power, hydro, electrical, wood products, and heavy industrial.
• Position offers growth potential with an ENR Top 400 Contractor.
• Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Provide complete conceptual (or bidwork) and final estimating input on complex projects.

Document Tracking

• Insure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
• Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required.
• Track awarded contracts as required – may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials, etc.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
• 5-8 years of estimating, cost control, and/or engineering experience in similar construction.
• Working knowledge of Primavera.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office with a high proficiency in Excel.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards, estimating techniques, engineering, and cost control.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid, non-restrictive driver’s license and meet Crowder standards for Driver’s Authorization.
