A-Lert Roofing Systems, a division of Centurion Industries, Inc., specializes in the installation of both onsite and factory manufactured standing seam metal roofs.  A-Lert Roof Systems sells primarily to customers in the educational, institutional, military and governmental sectors. Job Summary

A-Lert is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to work on a full-time basis from our Headquarters located in beautiful New Braunfels, TX. Job duties include coordinating with operations, engineering, sales and Project Managers to plan and attain the material needed to meet timely production goals.  Job duties include:

  • Research potential vendors and new products.
  • Compare, evaluate and negotiate offers from suppliers.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Review quality of purchased products.
  • Enter and maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
  • Work with all departments to maintain inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Proactively identifies potential supply chain disruptions, provide daily status updates on all orders in backlog and resolve planning related issues to enable timely order shipment.
  • Ensure bill of materials (BOMs) are correct and complete for orders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with ViewPoint software
  • Experience and extensive knowledge of Excel
  • Experience and expertise using Outlook
  • Ability to find best prices by shopping various vendors
  • Ability to make ethical decisions on which vendors to use
  • Ability to search proficiently on the internet for vendors in local work site locations
  • Understand cost effectiveness and use sound judgment when purchasing from vendors

Other Requirements

  • Successfully pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen, Criminal Background, Physical Exam, Customer Security Check, E-Verify, Motor Vehicle Record (if applicable), other assessments (if applicable)
  • Must be able to use time effectively and productively
  • Must perform quality, accurate, complete, well-organized, concise, analytical and well-articulated work
  • Must be able to communicate, understand and follow directions
