CURRENT OPPORTUNITY: Jackhammer Operator
Job Summary:
Operates jackhammer equipment, to load/ unload and erect structures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Drills holes in ore or rock in mine or quarry to facilitate blasting and quarrying, using jackhammer: Connects steam or compressed-air and water lines to hammer.
- Inserts drill in chuck, trips trigger to start hammer, and leans on hammer to force drill into solid mass.
- Changes drill or adds lengths as depth of hole increases.
- Replaces or sharpens bits.
- Lubricates hammer.
- May lay steam, compressed-air, or water pipelines.
- May be designated according to type of drill operated as Tripod-Drill Operator.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education & Training:
NCCO Certification, OSHA 30 Hour Certification, CDL License.
