Job Role

Lifetime Exteriors is seeking an experienced foreman. 

Some of the day-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise field operations to deliver quality projects exceeding client expectations
  • Maximize resources to ensure effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining safety standards
  • Assist with the coordination of activities of tradesmen, requisitioning supplies, keeping records and inspections

Minimum Qualifications

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of working effectively among adverse teams and manage multi-faceted tasks
  • Assume responsibility and demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Confer with direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
  • Industry specific knowledge in regard to operations, equipment, methods and materials
  • Assist with tool acquisition and return processes
  • Consult the Superintendent regarding the procurement of supplies and materials
  • Possess the knowledge to complete frequent site walks and identify hazards, anticipate possible RFI questions and anticipate materials
  • Monitor the critical path and ensure that subcontractors are aware of the schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lead by example and maintain high visibility on-site to be accessible for inspection and direction
  • Monitor and inspect self-performed work by Lifetime Exteriors
  • Set and maintain a schedule for work and/or follow the 2 week schedule
  • Monitor and inspect work performed by subcontractors; know the details of their scope of work and keep them on a 2 week schedule
  • Practice and teach quality control
  • Promptly address substandard work and become actively involved in the solution process
  • Photo document all damaged areas and repair work
  • Utilize resources to obtain technical knowledge in regard to work performed by other trades to ensure quality expectations are met
  • Layout work for crews and track time
  • Professionally represent Lifetime Exteriors in regard to owners, architects, subcontractors and company personnel
  • Promote a cooperative team environment with common goals
  • Arrive on time and organize the crews to work efficiently
  • Engage in professional conduct regarding conflict management, problem resolution and performance issues
  • Capitalize on opportunity to assist with training and skill development
  • Monitor site orientation to ensure priorities and expectations are clear
  • Learn, follow and enforce interior unit access protocol
  • Ensure that subcontractor sign in sheets are completed daily
  • Proven ability to perform in a lead capacity
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity of industry practices and regulations

Safety

  • Maintain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Maintain OSHA 10 certification
  • Enforce safety policies and notify the superintendent of any violations
  • Orient each new employee as to quality and safety expectations
  • Review employee certifications to ensure all site personnel are in compliance while operating equipment and performing tasks
  • Assist with safety audit processes to ensure compliance and corrective action
  • Develop and maintain a checklist for beginning and end of day site maintenance, cleaning and security
  • Inspect work in progress and upon completion for adherence to safety regulations and practices
  • Demonstrate considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Learn how to document safety violations and accidents
