Responsibilities and Duties

  • Equipment maintenance, diagnose and repair a variety of equipment, including Caterpillar, John Deere, Hitachi, Case, Volvo, Komatsu, semi-tractors and pickup trucks.
  • Preventative maintenance for small and heavy truck
  • Crane operation will be A plus
  • Use both hydraulic and electrical schematics to troubleshoot issues
  • Complete all necessary reports and forms
  • Manage time effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Work independently, as well as be a team player
  • Communicate effectively with shop lead mechanic
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations
  • Interact with customers in a friendly manner

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Heavy Equipment
  • CAT ET & SIS program experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with welding and fabrication is desired
  • Experience with small and heavy equipment
  • Diesel/gasoline engine experience
  • Crane experience 
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions
  • Have a clean driving record
  • Class A or B CDL is preferred
  • Semi-tractor and automotive vehicle repair knowledge is required.
  • Be able to pass a drug screen and background check
