Linxx Global Solutions (Linxx) is looking for experienced Security Officers for part-time employment at NASA Glenn Research Center Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, OH. An Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities

• Identify employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Provide patrols for the inspection and reporting of suspicious activity, unsecure, unsafe, and hazardous conditions of gates, buildings, offices, docks, and other facilities.
• Provide security escorts for sensitive equipment and property, over-size movements, local security for sensitive meetings, security of incident scenes, and an escort or security stand-by for counseled and discharged personnel.
• Perform vehicle inspections.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Capable of passing a medical examination, drug screen, psychological examination, background investigation, and Physical Agilities Test.
• Able and willing to provide Officers Oath or Affirmation to Proper Conduct.
• Able and willing to successfully complete the four-week (152hr) NASA Basic Training Academy Course.
• Able to pass the NASA Firearms Qualification Course.
• Able to obtain Government Public Trust Clearance.
• Able to speak, understand, read and write the English language fluently.
• Capable of passing a medical screening, psychological evaluation, drug screen and background check.
• Possess user-level computer skills.
• Present a professional appearance. 

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be age 21 or older
• Must possess a High school diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have at least two years of relevant experience as a security guard or in law enforcement

Preferred Requirements

Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

• Current Emergency Medical Responder certification
• Familiarity with limits of jurisdiction
• Former U.S. Military or Law Enforcement
