What You Will Do: Our office-based engineers generally complete design calculations and cost estimates; assist with the preparation of construction plans, construction schedules, and environmental impact studies; and will compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, letters, memos, specifications, and presentations with direction and input from senior staff. Your specific duties may vary based on your experience and the projects which you support. This work may be in the following disciplines: municipal, land development, transportation, water resources, water / waste water, and structural. Additional opportunities exist for individuals willing to work in the field for a portion of the year.

Our field-based engineers may work in contract administration, construction inspection, environmental compliance or geotech / materials. Contract administration, construction inspection, and environmental compliance staff perform field observation, verify compliance with plans and specifications, prepare pay estimates, and produce project documentation. Geotech / materials staff assist engineers to collect and analyze soil, concrete, and aggregate samples; and prepare daily observation reports.

What You Will Bring: The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil / Environmental / Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field from an accredited program. You must possess a valid driver’s license, have a clean driving record, and be able to travel to various worksite locations. Candidates who have passes their FE exam are preferred. Candidates with prior internships and experience with Civil3D / AutoCADD or MicroStation are also preferred.

For field-based positions, you must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and various terrains associated with construction projects. Physical requirements vary by position but often include standing and walking for extended periods of time and lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
