Job Role

As a Software Support Engineer for InnovaSystems you will be the M-SHARP Subject Matter Expert/User Experience Trainer within the M-SHARP team.

In this role you will manage and collaborate effectively in a geographically diverse small team environment in order to achieve team goals. Interact and communicate effectively with primary customer (USMC Aviation) to ensure requirements and tasking timelines are met. Communicate with team members and fleet users and aggressively mitigate all flight line and shipboard issues including afterhours support as needed. Manage and schedule unit and detachment support and training.

The SW Support Engineer will:

  • Possess excellent technical and general written communication skills (writing samples may be asked for).
  • Demonstrate a command of the English language and be able to provide briefings and lectures with audience awareness (ability to analyze and adjust to the setting and audience) and possess strong delivery skills (i.e. ability to present and defend thoughts/ideas).
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrate an ability to work independently in remote locations as needed.
  • Be proficient in MS Office suite.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Direct experience with the utilization/administration of the M-SHARP Application is required.
  • Must have a firm understanding of the USMC Aviation Training and Readiness Program.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently.
  • Bachelors degree plus 3 years of experience OR 5 years direct experience

Experience Desired:

  • 10+ years of Marine Corps experience is desired.
  • Microsoft Office, Basic Computer Skills, basic SQL query skills, Experience with CMMI helpful, experience creating and maintaining automated test cases desired but not required
  • Exhibit an understanding of web applications, relational databases, specifically MS SQL; strong general understanding of Window server systems, networking fundamentals, and Internet Information Services IIS.

This position requires a current security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
