Job Responsibilities 

  • Work with our machining, foundry, or forging tier 1 and tier 2 supply base to analyze capacity and manufacturing constraints
  • Run and/or update rough cut capacity planning (RCCP) analysis with our suppliers for drivetrain products
  • Develop root cause corrective actions (RCCA) related to the identified constraints
  • Drive manufacturing improvements for manpower, machine, material, and process related issues at the suppliers
  • Review, analyze, and validate demand signals going to the supply base and develop strategies to align demand to supplier capacity
  • Lead and / or manage efforts at the supplier to manage and prioritize past due pieces
  • Create and manage supplier recovery of past dues
  • Provide leadership within the value stream and with suppliers to improve overall supplier performance
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations to identify specific supplier improvement
  • Leads multi-functional teams in various supplier development initiatives

 Required Experience 

  • College degree in engineering or supply chain required
  • 8 years’ experience in the industries of supply chain, manufacturing, and/or quality required
  • Manufacturing process knowledge (machining, castings, or forgings) required
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Demonstration of superior knowledge in Microsoft excel and spread sheet analysis required
  • APICS CSCP, CPIM, or equivalent supply chain certification preferred
  • Experience in APQP, 8D, 6 Sigma, and LEAN preferred
  • Experience in supply chain materials planning management preferred

 Required Skills 

  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with customers / suppliers preferred
  • Demonstrated extremely strong customer focus, strong leadership, and solid self-starter preferred
  • Ability to liaison between the suppliers to accomplish improvements in supplier quality
  • Travel 90%; US Locations - Michigan-- Wisconsin--- Minnesota-- Bloomington, IL -- Texas
