Dan Wood Company is a premier residential/light commercial service company. We provide service to Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and surrounding areas. We are a one stop shop for Plumbing, Boilers, HVAC, Electrical, Water Conditioning and Water Wells. We have a great team who work well together and take pride in a job well done. We are customer oriented and provide continual training, education and certifications to our tradesmen. We are in need of a service manager for the Plumbing and HVAC department. The position requires a person with several years of experience in the industry. The Service Manager will provide support to field personal, technical, estimating, customer service, hiring, firing and operational processes as it pertains to these departments. Wages will be commensurate with experience. Bonuses for high department efficiency.
Service Manager
Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 Annually (plus commission)
The Role
As a Service Manager, you will work as part of a dynamic and passionate team to ensure we exceed customer expectations by accomplishing the highest quality service calls, every time. You will manage staff, maintain effective pricing and do whatever is necessary to achieve department sales and capacity goals.
The position will be based in our office, with opportunities to travel to the market you are working in.
Responsibilities
- Integrate sales strategies across other departments to drive profitable results.
- Show technicians how to establish customer rapport to sell the right products and services.
- Understand sales criteria and hold your team accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
- Work alongside customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
- Monitor performance of field technicians and advise them on how to improve.
- Manage team schedule to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.
- Make sure incentive programs are equitable and properly documented.
- Review and approve invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheets.
- Serve as a technical back-up for field technicians when necessary.
