Franklin Park Round Rock is now hiring full- and part-time cooks. 

You will enjoy working in a spacious, modern commercial kitchen.

Because all menu items are fresh-made to order, scratch cooking experience is essential.

The shift is 5 days flex with weekend rotation. The pay for this position is $11.00/hour.

Shift hours available are:

6:00 am - 2:30 am

11:00 am - 7:30 pm

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

 

Besides cooking, JOB DUTIES include:

  • Maintaining clean, safe, and organized kitchen
  • Assisting director with menu and recipe development
  • Assisting in the receiving, rotation and storage of products
  • Identifying and reporting food and supply needs
  • Ensuring that all staff follow sanitation/infection control regulations, and help train and coach them in garnishing, presentation and other culinary skills 

Your work schedule will include rotating weekends. The starting wage for these positions is $12/hour.

The IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Has worked in all aspects of commercial kitchen operation, from scratch cooking to operating a commercial dish machine
  • Has a genuine interest in working with older adults, and can interact effectively and patiently with individuals with memory loss
  • Is a flexible team player, willing to modify his/her schedule to help cover vacations and help with special events
  • Has ServSafe certification
  • Reads, writes, understands and speaks the English language 
  • Food-Handlers Card is required
