FANUC America is currently searching for a Customer Repair Representative in the Hoffman Estates, IL area to join our team.

Reporting to our Hoffman Estates, IL office you will ensure customer satisfaction through professional, friendly, high level, systems-oriented knowledgeable support to customers who are scheduling repairs or inquiring about basic account status and resolving problems or questions related to these activities.

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide telephone support to customers, both internal and external, regarding customer and FAC property repair and basic account status inquiries
  • Quote prices and lead times for repair and parts orders.  Create and respond to all channels of correspondence (i.e. FAX, E-mail, and Web)
  • Accurately issue and process RA’s for repair/return orders, check status of existing repair orders, and file related documentation
  • Follow-up on estimates, quotes, approvals on repair return orders with customers
  • Act as a liaison between the Customer Support Center and the PCB and Motor Repair departments
  • Provide technical problem-solving resources to others within the department, and provide hands-on ACD training to new employees
  • Provide back up support to other positions within the department as needed
  • Use of solid interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, resolve problems and maintain good relations with customers, co-workers and other departments
  • Ability to work overtime if required
  • This position may include other duties as assigned 

Ideal candidate will have the following education, experience, knowledge, and skills:  

  • Associate Degree or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum three years in a customer service position with FANUC America
  • Experience handling escalated calls and/or difficult requests requiring advanced skills and knowledge of FANUC America parts and services
  • In-depth knowledge of FANUC America’s repair processes
  • Technical background in parts identification helpful
  • Familiar with warehouse and service environment
  • Proper spelling and grammar
  • Filing systems
  • Ability and willingness to learn many aspects of the company and its products
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, resolve problems, and maintain good relations with internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional technology skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, and Internet
  • Professional manner essential
  • Ability to work with people at all levels within the company
  • Must be able to use ACD headset
  • Oracle Applications
  • Normal office environment with uniform temperatures
  • Physical mobility required to sit, stand, and walk
  • Occasionally may be required to lift, hold, or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Manual/finger dexterity in both hands is needed to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
