Job Summary

  • Repair heavy duty trucks and related equipment on the trucks
  • Diagnose and repair/replace various parts/components that have failed or are causing malfunctions on the equipment
  • Diagnose and repair problems related to hydraulic components, steering systems, and braking system of equipment
  • Weld necessary components for repair of equipment
  • Proficiently and safely use shop power and air tools
  • Provide routine maintenance and service for equipment
  • Operate service or tow truck with required license

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two-year college or technical school, 5 + years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of mechanical functioning of various components on the equipment
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Valid class A or B license
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission
  • Must be able to consistently be able to push, pull, lift, stand and kneel
  • Work in an environment that includes temperature changes, periodic loud noises and vibrations
