POSITION SUMMARY:

The Content Coordinator is responsible for gathering content requirements, both internal business requirements and external distributor requirements, and ensuring that DWK Life Sciences content meets these requirements.  This position will work very closely with the Communications Manager as well as support the Channel Management team to provide content, branding updates and product enrichment for identified distributors.  The incumbent will promote and publish consistent brand-appropriate content and user experiences across multiple platforms with the distributors.  Content includes:  all text within the products (long and short product descriptions, specifications, product numbers, pricing) as well as support documentation (photography, product manuals, line drawings MSDS, C of A’s etc.) and website content changes and campaign text; all of which will be managed through the new PIM system.  The Content Coordinator organizes, manages, and assures the quality of all product content. This is an on-site position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 Content Management, Channel Management Support, Distributor Support and Marketing Support

  • Continually audit, maintain and update 2nd and 3rd tier distributors’ content, new item admissions process, and photos both digitally and in print. Ensures that content, part numbers and photos are up to date.
  • Assist Communications Manager in various capacities ranging from the highly tactical (sometimes making minor content corrections or updates)to new larger projects that have been initiated by the Communications Manager.
  • Manage marketing calendars for independent distributors and the MarCom team.
  • Analyzing content effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
  • Maintain well-organized, easy-to-access content file structure, for distributors, based on page flow and wireframe for each assignment.
  • Assist Marketing Support Manager with some fulfillment responsibilities, such as coordinating and shipping Sales materials.
  • Acquire knowledge of the products and services.
  • Understand the DWK Quality Policy and relevant Quality Objectives.
  • Recognize his/her contribution to the effectiveness of the OPS including the benefits of improved performance.
  • Comprehend the impact or effect of not conforming with OPS.
  • Observe all safety precautions, rules and regulations. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures. Maintains work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Other activities may be assigned as applicable

SKILLS:

  • Sound working knowledge of online content development and best practices.
  • Responsive, positive attitude under time pressure; ability to thrive in a high-performance work group.
  • Demonstrated copy editing skills and ability to apply site editorial standards to original and re-purposed content.
  • Expert editorial eye and judgment; knowledge of industry standard editorial style resources.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with MS Photoshop, InDesign and Access a plus.
  • Ability to establish and maintain multiple priorities and function in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in an industry PIM system is a plus.
  • Ability to work in SAP platform and CRM program is a plus.
  • Ability to take and incorporate feedback of your work with a positive attitude.
  • May require some overnight travel.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  •  A bachelor's degree in related field or 5+ year’s relative experience.
  • 1-3 years’ experience working in interactive content environments, such as Web Content, Copywriting or Content Specialist.
