As part of our continued expansion and succession planning, SmartEdge is seeking an impact performer to fill the advanced level role of Automation Specialist in our Jamestown Office.

Operational Goals:

  • Enjoys problem solving to pinpoint failures and problems with automation equipment and identifying methods to enhance control system operation
  • Identify methods to enhance control system operation, identify costs, and promote directly with customers
  • Required to generate software and GUIs for DDC controls and be capable of adding controllers to existing systems
  • Successfully maintain and organize vehicle inventory
  • Develop your own professional and technical skills (Including laughter)

Collaboration Goals:

  • Assists development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs & project plans and mentor Automation Associates
  • Schedule work with Project Manager or Service Coordinator
  • Provide customer training and support
  • Works with equipment vendors to solve automation problems and increase self-knowledge
  • We honor those that have exceptional organizational skills
  • Truly enjoys providing best in class customer service

Professional Knowledge and Education:

  • Associates degree in a technical field or 8+ years equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, the theory of component and system operation
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
  • Preferred experience in computer network operation and Direct Digital Controls
  • Ability to meet established and impromptu deadlines
