FIELD OPERATIONS ASSISTANT
The Field Operations Assistant provides support across a number of different areas including timekeeping, staffing, onboarding, and development tracking. This position ensures that critical elements of field timekeeping and pay are in place and current so that our field staff is ultimately paid accurately and in accordance to applicable policy and labor agreements. This role helps to onboard new hires ensuring that all required paperwork is completed in partnership with McGough Payroll and Human Resources departments. Lastly, this role helps to ensure our field staff are trained and knowledgeable in the different elements of CMIC that pertain to their roles.

- 2+ years in related role, including working with confidential information

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communications skills a must

Office and Travel:
Office: Primarily works in Field Operations Office White Bear Lake, MN. Periodic overnight travel required.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Field Timekeeping
- Support keying of time and labor for Concrete, Masonry, Service Center and jobs with limited internet access into CMIC.
- Ensure labor rates are accurate and in compliance with applicable bargaining agreements, per diem and travel policies through regular review and audit.
- Stay current on key elements of union agreements including pay, jurisdictions and employee benefits and ensure they are being administered correctly.
- Serve as a CMIC SuperUser for field team including assisting with employee training, answering questions and raising issues to the CMIC IS team or IT Helpdesk for remediation.
Field Staffing
- Ensure Personnel Change Notices (PCNs) are completed for all people hires and moves and sent to Payroll.
- Ensure new hires are processed in Onboarding module of BirdDog system and assist HR with completion of required new hire paperwork including I9’s.
- Track movement of people into Apprentice and Journeyman roles and ensure required communication to union occurs along with verification of changes to pay.
Onboarding
- Train new foreman and superintendents on timekeeping processes, use of CMIC and mobile application.
Development
- Track participation in various McGough and Union-led certification and development programs.
