We need someone who has…

  • Experience with a history of success in building multi-family, senior living, and hospitality products in the Houston, Austin, or Dallas-Fort Worth markets
  • Delivered outstanding services to our Clients, our Associates, and our Subcontractors

  • The ability to keep complicated projects on schedule and being built consistent with the specifications by leading the daily project operations by working with subcontractors and suppliers to create mutually beneficial relationships 

Your Responsibilities:

Delighting the Client

  • Establishes rapport and builds effective relationships (trust and respect) with clients, architects and engineers and committed to meeting the needs and expectation of clients and potential clients

Project Team Relations

  • Works with the Project Manager to suggest solutions that solve problems that Delights the Client and protects the interests of Weis Builders

Vendor Relations

  • Establishes clear directions, timely with information, lays out work that is well-planned and organized for others, including specification review, staffing levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedules
  • Understands and use the tools available to help Subcontractors achieve their goals.
  • Wins concessions without damaging the relationship, settles differences with minimal objection, and quickly gains the trust of vendors

Scheduling

  • Contributes to development and implementation of baseline schedule prior to turning dirt
  • Understands and uses scheduling monitoring tools and recognizes schedule impact events and implements timely recovery actions
  • Pushes project team and vendors to beat the schedule

Directing Others

  • Provides positive leadership to assigned Associates by establishing clear directions, being timely with information, and laying out work that is well-planned and organized for others

Site Management

  • Maintains a neat and orderly site office and work site and enforces required activities (i.e. stormwater, etc.)

Project Documentation

  • Completes all required documentation necessary for successful project completion and contributes Opportunities for Improvement for problems identified and best practices from current project for future projects

Safety

  • Enforces safety requirements by staying current on OSHA requirements, accurately/completely documents warnings and issues, and properly abates Safety deficiencies
  • Accurately/completely documents incidents/injuries and maintains a worksite that is secure from unlawful entry and protects the public
  • Performs activities to reduce incidence of workplace injuries

  • Enforces Quality Standards

 Your Qualifications:

Education and Training

  • Completed a construction management or related degree program or equivalent experience

 Knowledge and Experience

  • At least 10 years of field leadership experience
  • An extensive resume of successfully completed multi-family residential. hospitality and senior living projects
  • Thorough knowledge of construction trade activities, tools, and equipment operation
