CNC PLASMA CUTTER / BURN TABLE OPERATOR - 2nd Shift
We are searching for a Plasma Cutter / Burn Table Operator on our shop floor who preferably has at least 1-year experience operating a plasma cutter/burn table.

Summary of Responsibilities: This position will be setting up, adjusting and operating the plasma cutter to cut raw materials such as steel plates, structural, extrusions, etc. as assigned.
This is a 2nd Shift only position, which is from 4 pm to 12:30 am, Monday - Friday.
Specific Duties:
- Work from verbal instructions, drawings, blueprints, sketches, bills of material, cutting lists, etc.
- Sets up, adjusts, and operates Multi-Torch, hand torch, and cut-a-line Oxygen-Acetylene flame cutting equipment.
- Grinds and/or de-burs as required.
- Obtains from stock, oxygen and acetylene cylinders as required.
- Selects raw materials to be cut.
- Uses drawings to determine how cuts should be made.
- Positions materials by using an overhead crane.
- May perform simple cleaning maintenance operations.
- Scribes from patterns and performs simple layout.
- Reports abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision.
- Observes all Safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly.
- Able to read a tape measure.
- May be required to also operate the metal band saw to cut steel for parts.
Job Requirements - Candidate should have the following background:
- Very mechanically inclined and very reliable.
- At least 1-year experience operating a plasma cutter / burn table – Preferred
- Experience with Structural Cutting, using a 24” band saw – Preferred
- Experience running a Punch Press, Press Brake, and Shearer.
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Ability to direct the operation of a complex productions unit which determines size, shape, analysis and physical property of the product.
- Able to read a tape measure.
