The Bluffs of Lake City is seeking 2 part-time, every other weekend Activity Assistants to join their team! Hours are 10:00am-4:00pm
Position Summary
Assists with the planning and implementation of quality leisure/social events program designed to assist tenants/residents in maintaining their personal potential both physically and mentally.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assists with leisure programs and activities; leading social events and activity programs, assisting other departments with special events and family functions, and documenting as required.
2. Assists in meeting the psychosocial needs of residents; encouraging resident participation, reporting change in resident attitude, mood or physical status to appropriate clinical staff, promote independence by offering choices and fostering self-help skills.
3. Other duties as assigned; adhering to applicable rules and regulations, responding to emergencies per policy and procedure.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
- One to three years of related work experience.
- Must be able to work irregular hours, weekends and evenings. Experience working with seniors is preferred.
