ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The essential function of the Service Technician - Plumber is to provide general plumbing/ drain cleaning services.  This position handles service calls to customers in their homes and utilizes customer service training to educate and assist customers in choosing service, products and finance options.  Responsible for some training of apprentice plumbers


  • Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to work with inspectors, suppliers and co-worker technicians to ensure correct project work, while abiding by all codes
  • Possess the knowledge of local plumbing codes and be able to apply them in a practical manner on each job 
  • Ability to draw simple riser diagrams and be able to read them
  • Capable of plumbing techniques such as; soldering, pipe threading, drain cleaning, fixture installation, gas leak testing, and repair.
  • Aptitude of applying sound business judgment to all decisions
  • A minimum of five years’ experience including hands on training and/ or plumbing work
  • Appropriate State Journeyman or Master Plumber or Tradesman license required
  • Must be able to read and write English.  Bilingual a plus
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
