 Summary of job duties:

Qualified Metal Cutting Specialist will perform all functions associated with the Saw Cutting Process including selecting the proper blade, programming the saw equipment, manipulating the raw material, and identifying each cut piece based on the Order’s criteria.

 Responsibilities:

• Prepares saw program according to material type and size being cut, and accurately cuts material based on Customer’s Order specifications.
• Verifies correct stencil for the job prior to identifying each cut piece.
• Removes cut stock from machine and maintains production count.
• Move raw material stock from Saw Cutting Machines either to Recycling Bins or stock (after restencling the drop).
• Turn off and lock out equiment when not in use Perform simple preventive maintenance of saw equipment as required.
• Makes sure shop is safe, housekeeping is orderly and maintained.
• Package finished product for shipping (boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping, etc.) as required.
• Manual labor required for operating machinery.
• Must maintain a strong sense of urgency, self-driven, detail oriented individual.
• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently and clearly.
• Must be detail-oriented, have steady hands, and the ability to follow instructions and interpret drawings.
• Ensure that no damaged raw material is accepted in and no damaged product is sent out.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures, conditions dependent on outside environment.
• Must be focused on quality and Customer satisfaction.
• Participate fully in product training sessions, meetings, skills training and professional development classes.
• Must be effective working in a fast-paced team environment, and able to see projects through to completion.
• Any other duties assigned by Management. 

Requirements:

• High School Diploma minimum or experience/certification in lieu of education
• 6 months – 1 year of experience with metal cutting preferred
• Understand and use measuring tools and devices.
• Ability to stand, sit, and possibly lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have basic computer skills
