We are looking to grow our career driven team and are currently seeking a Packer to work from our Kindig Lane manufacturing facility located in Hanover, PA. The primary responsibility of this position requires the individual to inspect and pack quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere. This candidate will also be responsible for inspecting package weight, verifying codes, dates, and prices; examining packages for proper seal, and reporting any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated products.
The ideal candidate for this position must have strong basic math skills and capabilities of lifting 40 lbs. Standing is required at all times for this position. The willingness and ability to work Sunday - Thursday from 9:55 PM - 6:55 AM is required in this role
Packer:
- Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.
- Inspects package weight.
- Verifies code, dates, and price.
- Examines package for proper seal.
- Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
- Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
- Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
- Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
