Job Description

The Process Crusher Operator is responsible for the safe operation of crushing and conveying plants (primary, secondary and tertiary) plus performing limited maintenance related duties. Assists maintenance department on mechanical issues daily or scheduled down day to include, but not limited to cone gyratory, and jaw crushers and several types of conveyor belting structures. Completes tasks assigned by General Supervisor, Superintendent or Process Manager.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:

Responsibilities:

Performs the day to day maintenance activities on various stationary and mobile equipment.
Perform daily equipment walk around and work area inspections to identify, minimize and correct safety hazards and keep equipment properly maintained.
Keep proper records and daily production schedules for submitting reports on production and maintenance as directed by supervision.
Monitor equipment and systems to insure proper operation.
Knowledge of tracking of conveyor belts and general observation/maintenance of rollers.
Observe for proper operation of tail-pulley and head-pulley
Clean up excess material around the crusher using either a skidster and/or shovel as needed.
Ability to operate a, backhoe, telehandler forklift, loader, dozer and rock breaker attached to an excavator.
Effective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving, basic math skills, ability to inform others using radio communication or other means of communication.

Requirements:

Minimum of six (6) months to three (3) years process crusher operations required.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions and provide feedback required.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
Proven experience handling multiple projects as assigned while maintaining production goals.
Organized with attention detail and ability to recognize concerns or issues related to safety, environmentally and operationally.
Proven ability to work effectively with others, with an excellent safety and attendance record required. Must be able to lift 40 pounds and perform essential functions of the position.
