What You Will Do: As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for all aspects of multiple complex projects and clients from the proposal process to the final invoice with increased proficiency and efficiency. You will plan, direct, and coordinate all project activities including client meetings, public hearings, and open houses to ensure that projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frames and budgets. You will anticipate client needs, biases, and preferences and tailor communication and work output accordingly. You will also lead, coordinate and delegate work to multiple work teams working in multiple locations; formulate, track and meet project budgets and schedules; maintain open and effective communication with clients as well as internal and external stakeholders; and prepare or coordinate preparation of all project / client correspondence and documentation. You may also provide consulting city engineering services.

You will participate in and lead business development activities to new and existing clients through the following activities: plans, leads and participates in client meetings and networking events; develops new client contacts and relationships in all areas of expertise and geographic regions; identify, suggest, and secure projects from new and existing clients; and work to secure alternative funding sources.

You will be able to work from any of our Twin Cities office locations.

What You Will Bring: The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school, registration as a professional engineer in Minnesota (or the ability to obtain Minnesota registration within six months) and 8+ years transportation experience. A valid drivers license and good driving record are also required. Our preferred candidate would have experience in managing transportation projects, clients and staff in Minnesota, a history in delivering projects with positive customer service experiences, a positive attitude, as well as a willingness to learn. The ability and desire to develop an understanding of, or even anticipate the client’s needs, is a plus.
